"Casa Árabe y su Instituto Internacional de Estudios Árabes y del Mundo Musulmán cuenta con dos sedes, en Madrid y Córdoba, y es un consorcio constituido el 6 de julio de 2006 por el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional, las Comunidades autónomas de Madrid y Andalucía y los Ayuntamientos de Madrid y Córdoba. Nace con la vocación de ser un activo instrumento que contribuya, desde las instituciones políticas y los medios económicos, culturales e intelectuales, a fortalecer y consolidar la relación polivalente con los países árabes y musulmanes y a desarrollarse como referente en el estudio y el conocimiento de la realidad y la historia de esos países. Asimismo, tiene voluntad de desempeñar un papel de doble difusor: en el ámbito europeo y occidental de las realidades árabes y musulmanas y viceversa. Todo ello en un marco de cooperación e interacción institucional con el objetivo de devenir puente de comunicación y relación entre las sociedades respectivas. Un espacio de mutuo conocimiento y reflexión compartida, un punto de encuentro." |

"The Flemish Centre for Islam in Europe (University of Gent, Belgium) was inaugurated on May 17th, 1998, with an opening speech by Prof.Em.Dr.Marcel van Spaandonck, president of the C.I.E., and with an academic lecture given by Prof.Dr. Pieter Sjoerd van Koningsveld (RULeiden). The audience, a mixed gathering of Muslims and non-Muslims from all parts of the country, welcomed it with enthusiasm. Since then, with its quite modest means, the Centre works at giving Islam in our secular society a respected academic status, while developing scientific and educational tools for combating present-day islamophobia and racism."

"La Escuela de Traductores de Toledo es un centro de investigación de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, que inició sus actividades en 1994 en el seno del Patronato Universitario de Toledo con el apoyo de la European Cultural Foundation.
Como espacio de formación, centra su actividad en la preparación de traductores del árabe y del hebreo, imparte docencia de postgrado a través del Curso de Especialista en Traducción Árabe-Español, así como a través de los Seminarios de Traducción Hebreo-Español y, desde 1999, ofrece cursos de Introducción a la Lengua Árabe . En el ámbito investigador, organiza y promueve distintas publicaciones y programas de traducción e investigación, en cuyo desarrollo colaboran otras instituciones y profesionales vinculados a la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Movida por una firme voluntad de convertirse en espacio de encuentro y diálogo, ha acogido y organizado numerosos coloquios y conferencias nacionales e internacionales en torno a la traducción y las relaciones culturales entre Europa y el Mediterráneo." |

"Das Europäische Migrationszentrum (EMZ) ist eine Arbeitsgemeinschaft, die von verschiedenen Institutionen vor rund 20 Jahren in Berlin gegründet wurde. Ziel der Organisation ist eine enge europaweite Zusammenarbeit zu den Themen Migration und Ethnizität. Das Tätigkeitsspektrum hat sich seit Bestehen des Zentrums ständig erweitert und reicht von international vernetzter Forschungsarbeit bis zur praxisnahen Beratung von gewerbetreibenden Zuwanderern in Berlin.
Das EMZ verwaltet zudem neben online-Datenbanken eine umfangreiche Bibliothek. Diese gemeinnützigen Tätigkeiten sind auf die Unterstützung durch Sponsoren angewiesen. Durch die Veröffentlichung von Forschungsergebnissen im eigenen Verlag und durch die Organisation öffentlicher Diskussionsforen sucht das EMZ den Kontakt zu Gesellschaft und Politik, um an der Schaffung einer Basis für eine fundierte Integrations-, Arbeitsmarkt- und Sozialpolitik mitzuwirken."
